About Nate

Nathaniel “Nate” Mueller is a 22 year old Nashville-based drummer and content creator whose explosive chops, musical creativity, and undeniable stage presence have made him one of the fastest growing drummers in the game.

Born in 2002, Nate started on piano but always knew he wanted to play drums, picking up the sticks at nine and never looking back. Inspired by early YouTube legends like Matt McGuire and Casey Cooper, he began creating drum covers at 14 using nothing but an iPod. Throughout high school, Nate immersed himself in music—playing in his church band, jazz band, concert band, percussion ensemble, swing choir, and pit orchestra. By senior year, he was vice president of the concert band and had earned several music awards.

After graduating high school during COVID, Nate was lost and gave up on music, enrolling in college to become an English teacher—believing drums weren’t a real career option. But while helping his best friend Ben program drums over Zoom for his album, Nate knew he needed music in his life. Ben had just started pursuing music at Belmont University, and encouraged Nate to take a shot. On a leap of faith, Nate dropped out of SUNY Fredonia that semester and applied to Belmont’s music program, getting accepted just weeks later.

He moved to Nashville in January 2021 with nothing but an e-kit and a dream. That year, he grew to 100k followers. The next year: 1 million. He earned endorsements with Meinl Cymbals and BFSD, hit 100K on YouTube, and started landing gigs, sessions, and brand deals at age 19, less than 2 years after moving to Nashville. By 2023, he dropped out again—this time to pursue his music career full-time.

Now 22, Nate’s performed around the world with artists like Mike Shinoda, Sarah Cothran, Munn, Melina KB, Emblem3, and Lowsan Melgar. He proudly endorses Meinl Cymbals, Promark Drumsticks, Evans Drumheads, Big Fat Snare Drum, and Audimute. As he continues to tour, record, and collaborate, Nate is also focused on building a brand that educates and inspires the next generation of drummers.

Advice

If you want to pursue a career in music, drums, social media, or anything monumental that seems like a dream, please reach out. Just remember I was there once too. Anything is possible and if you want it, you can have it. You just need to go and get it.

I once looked towards my heros for advice when thinking of making the leap to go for this dream. Most didn't respond, but those that did inspired me and gave me great advice, and I am so grateful for them. I always told myself if I ever made it or did something worthwhile in my career, I'd surely take the time to help others. I swore it. I guess now is my chance to fulfill that promise to myself. Please, don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions or are looking for advice on anything.

Thank you for your support,

Nate
